One held with 27 gold bars in Chittagong airport

Customs officials arrested a man along with 27 gold bars worth about Tk 1.30 crore at Shah Amanat International Airport on Sunday morning, UNB reports.

 

The arrestee is identified as Ali Ajgar, hailing from Hathazari upazila of Chittagong district.
 

Md Alamgir Hossain, assistant commissioner (customs) of the airport, said customs officials recovered 268 tolas of gold from the possession of Ajgar, who was in Dubai for 20 years.
 

He arrived at the airport by a flight of Fly Dubai from Dubai around 9am.
