Body of a Dhaka University student recovered in Narayanganj

Police recovered body of a Dhaka University (DU) student from Kayedpara area in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj on Monday morning.

 

The deceased, Pervez Ahmed, is a second year student of Dhaka University’s Social Welfare and Research Institute and also son of Joynal Abedin of Borabo village of the upazila.

 

Md Ismail, officer-in-charge of Rupganj Police Station said on information a team of police recovered the body of Pervez from the area around 9am.

 

Pervez used to work as a part time employee at the Meghna Sramajibi Samabay Samity (a workers' cooperative association) in the area.

 

According to police, he locked into an altercation with NGO authority three days ago and he went missing since that day. Several stabbed marks were found on the body of the victim.

 

On Monday morning, local people found Pervez's body on the bank of the river.

 

The police recovered the body and sent it to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.
