Prime Minister releases stamp, first day cover on International Customs Day

Bangladesh Post Office has released a commemorative postage stamp, a first day cover and data card on the occasion of the International Customs Day 2018.

 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally released the Taka 10 postage stamp, Taka 10 first day cover and Taka 5 data card at the cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office in the city on Monday morning.

 

A special canceller was used on the occasion.

 

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Post and Telecommunications Minister Mostafa Jabbar, Senior Secretary of Internal Resources Division (IRD) and Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md. Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Post and Telecommunications Secretary Shyam Sundar Shikdar and Director General of Bangladesh Post Office Sushanta Kumar Mandal were present on the occasion, among others.

 

The stamp, first day cover and data card are being sold at the Philatelic Bureau of Dhaka GPO from today, and those would be available at other GPOs and head post offices across the country later.
