Three missing persons detained on specific information: Home Minister

Home Minister Md Asaduzzaman Kamal said the detective branch (DB) of police has arrested three persons who went missing including the personal officer of the education minister based on specific information.

 

While talking to journalists, he made the remarks on Monday at the occasion of Saraswati Puja at Rajdhani High School in the city. 

 

The home minister said, “So far I Know, the DB police has detained them following specific information. The investigation will go on.

After investigation, the real facts behind the incident will be unearthed whether they are involved in crimes.”

 

On Sunday last, Md Motaleb Hossain, a personal officer of education minister and Md Nasiruddin , an upper division clerk of the directorate of secondary and higher secondary education were arrested by DB police on charge of corruption. In another drive, Md Khaleque Hossain of Lakehead Grammar School was arrested on charge of funding militancy.

 

Meanwhile, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said the law enforcers will take action against two persons- an officer of education ministry and an upper division clerk  of directorate of secondary and higher secondary education- who were arrested by DB police, if they found guilty.

 

The education minister said this while talking to journalist on Monday.

 

He also said, “I do not know why the police have arrested them. The admin is looking into the matter. if they are found guilty, action will be taken against them.”
