The second phase of the 53rd Biswa Ijtema will end on Sunday with the Akheri Munajat (concluding prayers) on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi (Gazipur) on the outskirts of the capital.
Addressing a press briefing on Saturday, Gazipur Police Super (SP) Mohammad Harun-or-Rashid said the Akheri Munajat will begin from 10.30am to 11.00am.
The three-day Ijtema started with 'Aam Bayan' (general sermons) by noted scholars after Fazr prayers on Friday morning.
The second phase of the Biswa Ijtema, one of the largest religious gathering of the Muslims, entered second day on Saturday.
Lakhs of Muslim devotees from home and aboard have thronged the Bishwa Ijtema.
