Four more die from burn injuries in Rangpur

Four more people have died from burn injuries at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) after trying to ward off the winter cold with a fire.

 

Jaminur Begum of Taraganj, Hasu Begum of Pirganj, Muktamoni and Afroza Khatun, 41 from Lalmonirhat died on Sunday night.

 

Earlier, two others women named Ruma Aktar, 60 and Akhi Aktar, 44 died on Saturday night while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

 

The victims were burned while stoking makeshift fires to ward off the cold, informed Assistant Professor Dr. Hamidul Sarkar of Rangpur Medical College Hospital burn unit.
