BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the Prime Minister’s address on the election-time government will deepen the existing political crisis.
Talking to the journalists at BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office in the city on Saturday, the BNP leader made this remark.
Mirza Fakhrul said the nation has got frustrated with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s address to the nation as there is no indication for reaching a political consensus over the next general election.
The BNP leader said, “We think that there’s nothing in the Prime Minister’s address that can resolve the crisis, rather it may aggravate the existing crisis.”
Fakhrul further said the premier should take an initiative for holding talks with all stakeholders, if she (PM) sincerely considers any new thing regarding the poll time-government.
