State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid has been nominated for "Visionary Leader of Change" award by World HRD Congress for his outstanding role and contribution to the development of the youths by enhancing economic facilities, reports UNB.
The award will be handed over to the State Minister at a function in Mumbai, India on February 15 this year, said a press release of the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources on Tuesday.
The Bangladeshi minister has been nominated for the award among participants from 133 countries across the globe.
Over 1200 senior leaders will attend the award giving ceremony, it added.
The World HRD Congress (WHC), a Mumbai-based organisation, has been providing awards to the persons and organisations, which make contributions in creating a platform for qualitative development.
The WHC works in political, social, economic, and corporate sectors and honours the people in these sectors for their contributions in their respective fields.
Nasrul Hamid has relentlessly been making his efforts for self-employment of youths by organising different events like energy hackathon, idea competition, launching internship, and encouraging for new entrepreneurship.
The WHC has nominated Nasrul Hamid for "Visionary Leader of Change" award taking into consideration these works and his outstanding role in these fields, said the Power and Energy Ministry.
