Three new ministers and one state minister sworn in on Tuesday evening ‘in an effort to speed up administrative activities’. The new faces in the cabinet are AKM Shahjahan Kamal, Kazi Keramat Ali, Narayon Chandra Chanda and Mustafa Jabbar.
President Abdul Hamid administered the oath at 6:30 pm at Bangabhaban on the presence of prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
Member of Parliament from Lakhsmipur 3 constituency AKM Shahjahan Kamal, Rajbari 1 lawmaker Kazi Keramat Ali and State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayon Chandra Chanda took the oath.
Besides, IT entrepreneur Mustafa Jabbar, also president of the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS), sworn in as a technocrat minister by President Md Abdul Hamid.
The post of minister for fisheries and livestock has been vacant since the demise of Muhammed Sayedul Hoque in mid-December.
