Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said the damaged roads across the country will be renovated within two weeks.
The minister made the disclosure on Monday while talking to reporters at a view-exchange meeting at the secretariat in the capital.
Quader said that already tender for the work has been floated and the renovation works will start soon.
Besides, the government will implement Dhaka-Sylhet and Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar 4-lane projects with own financing. Within the tenure of the incumbent government, the construction works will be started, the minister added.
The installation of the second span of the Padma Bridge was delayed due to technical ground and the second span will be installed by January, the minister hoped.
He also mentioned that the construction work is going on with a target to open the bridge by December 2018.
