A Dhaka court has placed Bangladesh Kalyan party secretary general M M Aminur Rahman, who had gone missing nearly four months back, on a four-day remand after his arrest on Friday night in a violence case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debobrata Biswas passed the order on Saturday after the investigation officer of the case, inspector Md Jehad Hossain, sought a 10-day remand for Aminur for interrogation.
The court also rejected the bail petition filed by Aminur's lawyer Abdur Rauf.
Aminur was shown a suspect in a case filed for cocktail bomb attack on a rally of Awami Mukti Jodha Parisad led by Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan on December 16, 2015, to block BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia's office in Gulshan.
Earlier, detectives arrested Aminur from near 'Suvastu Tower' around 11:40 pm.
Aminur went missing after he came out of the party office in Nayapaltan on August 27 last.
