Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested an employee of a printing press from Indira Road on Thursday in connection with leaking of question papers of Dhaka University “Gha unit” admission test.
The arrestee, who goes by the name Khan Bahadur, has been working at a printing press of Indira Road since 2010. The press has been printing question papers for last four years.
Based on secret information, a team of CID (Organised Crime division) arrested Khan Bahadur, said Molla Nazrul Islam, special superintendent of Criminal Investigation Department (Organised Division) while briefing reporters at CID headquarters of Malibagh in the city on Thursday.
He said the question papers of Dhaka University “Gha unit” admission test had been leaked in last two years through the printing press employee Khan Bahadur.
A total of 23 people, including several university students were arrested by the CID team in connection with of their involvement question paper leak, he said.
The CID team arrested Syful Islam from Jamalpur on December 13. Based on his information, they arrested Khan Bahadur from Indira Road on Thursday, he said.
Earlier, CID arrested Natore district sports officer Raqibul Hasan Isami from Natore on December 11 on charge of involvement in the question paper leaking syndicate. He allegedly collected question papers through Khan Bahadur. He was introduced with Khan Bahadur through Syful.
