President Md Abdul Hamid returned home from Turkey early Thursday after attending the 6th Extraordinary Islamic Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, UNB reports.
He arrived in Dhaka by a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Thursday early in the morning.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam accompanied the President.
Earlier on Monday night, a Turkish Airlines flight carrying the President took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for the OIC special conference to discuss the repercussions of the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The special conference was held in Istanbul on Wednesday where the President delivered his speech highlighting Bangladesh's position over the issue.
