Results of admission test for the first year honors and pass courses under the 2017-2018 session of seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University (DU) were published Tuesday.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman announced the results at a programme held at Prof Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom on the campus in the morning, said a DU release.
At the event, Coordinator of seven affiliated colleges and Dean of Business Studies Faculty Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dean of Arts Faculty Abu Md Delwar Hossain, Dean of Science Faculty Mohammed Abdul Aziz, Dean of Biological Sciences Faculty Md Imdadul Haque and principals of the colleges were present.
According to the results, a total of 19,603 admission seekers took part in the admission test under the social science and arts units. Among them, 13,705 admission seekers came out successful.
Under the science unit, 14,752 applicants out of 20,331 secured pass marks.
In the business unit, 14,644 applicants out of 18, 315 got pass marks.
Classes of the colleges are going to start on January 14, said DU VC, adding all procedures relating to the admission must be completed before starting of the classes.
