Charles unbeaten 105, McCullum 78 power Rangpur to 192

Rangpur Riders hurled a challenging target of 193, helped by the 150+ partnership between McCullum and Charles, against Comilla Victorians in the the second qualifier match of AKS Bangladesh premier league T20 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka.

Riders’ West Indian recruit Charles stroke a magnificent ton of unbeaten 105 off 63 and New Zealand recruit Mccullam stroke 78 off 46.

Undoubtedly, it is a steep chase for Comilla, especially since they were bowled out for less than 100 the last time they were attempting to chase 190+.

The game resumed from where it left off at 55 for one in 7 overs at rain forced to stop the play with Johnson Charles (46 n.o) and Brendon McCullum (4 n.o) on the crease.

Comilla Victorians captain Tamim Iqbal chose to bowl first.

Both teams made one change each. Rangpur brought in seamer Isuru Udana in place of Lasith Malinga, who returned to Sri Lanka for personal reasons. Comilla picked Zimbabwe legspinner Graeme Cremer in place of allrounder Dwayne Bravo.
