Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital has got permission to admit students into MBBS course from the 2017-2018 academic year.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Friday gave the permission for admission of students.

“We will be able to admit students for the 2017-18 academic year as the government has withdrawn its suspension order,” Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Director Md Tariqul Islam told the daily sun.

He said Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital resolved the complexity over the land registration issue, as per the government’s requirement.

The medical college will start distributing admission forms on December 10 and publish a list of selected students on December 11. The admission process will start on December 13, he added.

Tariqul said: “We are offering only admission fee of Tk 5,25000 instead of Tk 13,90000 fixed by the government for private medical colleges.”

He further said their students will have to pay only Tk 6,000 for their food and accommodation fee for each month.

On September 27, the ministry issued a circular, mentioning that five medical colleges, including Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College Hospital, can not admit students under the 2017 – 2018 academic session.

The ministry suspended the admission due to lack of government policies and for not following government rules and regulations.
