Bangladesh seamer Al-Amin Hossain has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action during the 5th edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) against Khulna Titans match on November 28.
Though Al-Amin's bowling action had raised suspicions, he will continue to bowl in BPL until he gets feedback from Bangladesh Cricket Board’s bowling action review committee.
Field Empire of that match accused Al-Amin of illegal bowling action in the 15th over during the match between Comilla Victorians and Khulna Titans.
Al-Amin will go through a bowling test under BCB’s bowling action review committee. He must submit his report to BCB’s committee in 14 days.
Jalal Yunus, the BPL chairman and technical committee head confirmed the news and stated that Al Amin will be able to continue bowling in the BPL.
“The field umpire has reported his bowling action against Khulna’s match on November 28,” said Jalal.
“He will continue to bowl in the BPL matches. His bowling action will be reviewed as per ICC’s rules,” he added.
Previously, Al-Amin’s bowling action had been reported in August 2014 and after a test in the ICC-accredited centre in Chennai, he was cleared by ICC in November 2014.
