Newborn child rescued from Gazipur dustbin

A newborn baby has been rescued from a dustbin in Laxmipura area under Joydebpur Police Station in Gazipur city, UNB reports.

 

Pranay Bhusaon Das, a residential doctor of Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmed Medical College and Hospital, said that a garment worker couple Rekha Akhter and Abdul Matin heard crying of a newborn baby while they were coming to their house for taking launch from the factory at noon.

 

Later, they noticed that a cat was dragging a shopping bag from where the sound was coming.

 

Later, they spotted the baby.

 

They rescued the baby and took it to the hospital, Pranay added.

 

The baby is now undertaking treatment at pediatric Word of the hospital.

 

Several injury marks of cat were found on newborn's body, said the doctor.
