The Vice Chancellor of Asian University of Bangladesh, Professor Dr Abul Hasan M Sadeq, said entrepreneurship development is a must for country’s overall progress.
The AUB VC was addressing as the chief guest at a discussion on the importance of Entrepreneurship Development for Achieving Development Goals of Digital Bangladesh in the capital.
The Rotary Club of Dhaka Scholars (RCDS) organised the event recently.
In his speech, Dr. Sadeq said that a country’s socio-economic development depends on a number of factors of production, which rely finally on entrepreneurs to collect, combine, coordinate and use them for the purpose of actual development and production.
“The factors of production cannot function without the effective role the entrepreneurs,” he added.
Dr Sadeq who is also the charter president of the RCDS also encouraged the young participants who were mostly the university students to be entrepreneurs.
A member of RCDS, Rtn. Rafiqul Islam (Liton), was honored in the event as a successful entrepreneur, since he has been declared as a CIP (Commercially Important Person) for his significant contribution to exporting agriculture goods from Bangladesh to overseas countries.
