Chapainawabganj man killed in blast while ‘making bombs’

A man was killed in an explosion allegedly while making bombs at Mordana Bamunpara village in Shibganj upazila on Friday afternoon, reports UNB.

 

The deceased was identified as Taifur Rahman, 40, son of Fazlur Rahman.

 

Habibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said the blast took place around 1:45pm while Taifur was making bombs on the rooftop of his brother Saifuddin's house, leaving him critically injured.

 

He was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

 

On information, police recovered bomb-making substances from the spot.
