Trading on the country's two bourses is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
DSEX, prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose over 28.01 points or 0.46 percent to stand at 6,047.60 at 12:02 pm.
Two other indices also showed positive trend. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) advanced 1.85 points or 0.14 percent to stand at 1,318.10 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, rose 11.16 points or 0.51 percent to stand at 2,179.19.
Trade deals stood at 45,537 with transaction at Tk 2,370.83 million. Of the issues traded, 189 advanced, 79 declined and 55 remained unchanged.
LangkaBangla Finance Ltd topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 283.28 million having changed hands during the time.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 11, 332.35 by gaining over 60.61 points at 12:02 pm.
Out of the issues traded, 110 gained, 40 declined and 31 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 430.92 million.
