The prices of the most of shares on both DSE and CSE saw upward trends in early hour of trading on Sunday, the first trading session of the week as investors remained active.
After one and a half hour of trading, DSEX advanced 13.47 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse CSCX rose 43.21 points.
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 13.47 points or 0.22 percent to reach at 6,031.73 at 11:56 am.
But, the two other indices saw negative trend till then. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) lost 6.46 points or -0.49 percent to stand at 1,310.01 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips fell 3.33 points or 0.15 percent to reach at 2,170.55 points.
Turnover, the crucial indicator of the market, stands at Tk 2,712.06 million on the DSE, riding on City Bank and BRAC Bank.
Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 174 declined and 28 issues remained unchanged.
City Bank Ltd dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 179.60 million changing hands till then, closely followed BRAC Bank, SIAF Powertec, Premier Bank and IDLC Finance.
The port city bourse the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upward trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - gaining 43.21 points to stand at 11,292 points, also at 11:53 am.
Of the issues traded till then, 56 gained, 82 declined and 18 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 176.62 million.
