Key share price indices at the country's twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed positive trends on Thursday.
DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 1.94 points or 0.03 percent to stand at 6,003.47 at 12:05 pm.
But two other indices edged lower. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed over 3.28 points or 0.24 percent to stand at 1,320.60 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips also lost 8.07 points or 0.37 percent to stand at 2173.80 points.
Trade deals stood at 50,395 with transaction at over Tk 2,413.87 million on the DSE.
Of the issues traded till then, 125 advanced, 135 declined and 50 issues remained unchanged.
Gemini Sea Food Ltd dominated the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 242 million changing hands till then followed by IDLC Finance (Tk 128.40 million), BRAC Bank (Tk 121.43 million), Safko Spinning Mills (Tk 108.91 million) and City Bank (Tk 86.34 million).
The port city bourse also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX - advancing 16.94 points to stand at 11,256.63 points, also at 12:02 pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 76 gained, 76 declined and 22 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 90.08 million.
