‘Maitri’ Showcasing Artworks Of Indian And Bangladeshi Artists

A week-long group art exhibition titled `Maitri’ (a joint collaboration of Indian Canvas and Focus Bangladesh) was inaugurated by Narayan Chandra Chanda, State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock, on October 09, 2017 at Zainul Gallery-2, Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Eminent artist and sculptor Hamiduzzaman Khan, artist Md. Shahid Hossain, Md. Kauser Hossian (founder of Focus Bangladesh) and artist Mithun Dey were present as special guests on the opening ceremony.

‘Maitri’ is an exhibition of paintings, sculptures and photography by India and Bangladeshi artists. 13 Bangladeshi and 12 Indian artists are participating in this group exhibition. The exhibition is curated by artist Md. Kauser Hossian.

Focus Bangladesh is an organization that provides training and organizes exhibitions and exposure events for who are eligible to participate.



Focus has some categories to take part in, like are, craft, interior and fashion. This organization has been founded by Kauser Hossain who has been working with different sectors and medium of art for many years.

The exhibition will close on October 14, 2017.
