Shakib hits fifty, Bangladesh 184/5

Bangladesh scored 200 runs by losing five wickets after 35 overs South Africa Invitation XI in their solitary warm-up match on Thursday.

 

Shakib Al Hasan and Sabbir Rahman were on the crease, scoring 59 off 61 balls and 35 runs off 37 balls respectively.

 

Earlier, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat .

 

Bangladesh’s star batsman Tamim iqbal is out of the tour match against South Africa Invitation XI.

 

The match has begun at 2:00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time) at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein.

 

The Tigers will be looking forward to bounce back in the ODIs from their 2-0 defeat in the Test series against the hosts.

 

Mashrafe Mortaza leads the Bangladesh team whereas all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan joins the Tigers as his deputy.

 

JP Duminy is leading the SA XI unit while AB de Villiers back to boost the Proteas side.
