The prices of most of the share at the country's both bourses - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - witnessed downward trends from early hours of trading on Thursday.
DSEX, the benchmark index of DSE, shed over 40.04 points or 0.65 percent to 6,068.52 at 11:47 am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went down by 6 points or 0.44 percent to stand at 1,334.52.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, also lost 16.33 points or 0.73 percent to stand at 2192.11 points.
Trade deals stood at 38,284 with volume of transactions at Tk 2,261.88 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 115 advanced, 158 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
BRAC Bank Ltd was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 201.60 million changing hands till then followed by Ifad Autos, Shahjalal Islami Bank and Uttara Bank.
The port city bourse - Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) - also witnessed downward trend in early hours with its Selective Category Index losing 65.74 points to 11,428.93 also at 11:47 am.
Of 141 issues traded till then, 51 gained, 74 declined and 16 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 59.74 million.
