Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha along with his wife may fly for Australia after getting government order (GO), not on Sunday night.
Earlier, different media published breaking news saying CJ SK Sinha will fly to Australia by Singapore Airline on 11.55pm Sunday.
The law minister Anisul Huq told reporters that a Government Order (GO) is essential when the chief justice, a constitutional post, leave the country. He also confirmed that such GO has not been issued yet.
Justice Sinha and his wife Sushma Sinha has got visas for three years. They may go anytime to Australia after getting the GO, Anisul Huq added.
Earlier on Sunday morning, CJ Sinha, now on leave on health grounds, went to International Centre for Diarrhoeal Diseases Control, Bangladesh (ICDDR, B) for a blood test.
After giving the blood sample, Sinha returned to his official residence in the Hare Road.
The purpose for his foreign trip is to visit eldest daughter Suchana Sinha and receive medical treatment.
