At least 13 people, including a police constable, were killed and several reportedly injured in a suspected suicide bombing at Dargah Fatehpur in Jhal Magsi district of Balochistan, AFP reports.
The explosion took place at the shrine where scores of people had gathered to pay their respects. Police and district administration officials are suspecting that it was a suicide attack, and the bomber blew himself at the entrance.
The suicide bomber tried to enter the shrine but when the security guard tried to stop him, he blew himself up, DawnNews quoted the district administration official as saying.
Levies official have confirmed the death of four people and said that the injured are being transferred to a District Headquarter Hospital, Jhal Magsi.
Balochistan Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, while talking to media persons, said that he had received the news regarding a blast in Jhal Magsi and subsequently directed the concerned authorities to respond immediately.
Security forces also reached the spot of the incident and have established a cordon around it.
