Milad mahfil held at JPC marking birthday of Prime Minister

A doa and milad mahphil was held today at the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) after Asr prayers on the occasion of the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

 

JPC General Secretary Farida Yasmin and Secretary General of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Omar Faruq, among others, spoke on the occasion.

 

Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Abul Kalam Azad, former JPC Vice President Syed Akhtar Yousuf, Editor of the daily Janata Ahsan Ullah and General Secretary of Barisal Division Journalists' Association (BDJA) Aminul Islam Mirja, among others, were present at the doa mahfil.

 

Prayers were also offered seeking early recovery of Sheikh Hasina who underwent a gallbladder surgery in Washington on September 25.

 

The 71st birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the president of Bangladesh Awami League, was celebrated today across the country with various programmes, including milad and doa mahfils seeking divine blessings for her good health and long life, reports BSS.
