Naogaon road crash kills 2 motorcyclists

Two motorcyclists have been killed and two others injured in a road accident at Barunkandi village on bypass road of the Naogaon district town.


The deceased were identified as Masud Rana, 42, security guard of Jamuna Bank's Naogaon branch and son of late Abdus Sattar Mondal of the village in Sadar upazila, and Sohel Rana, 30, son of Abdus Jabbar of Shibpur village of the upazila.


Toriqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the accident took place when a bus crashed into a motorcycle coming from opposite direction around 9:45 am on Saturday and plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving both of the motorcyclists dead on the spot and two others injured, UNB reports.


On information, police rushed to spot and sent the bodies to Naogaon 100-bed Sadar Hospital morgue.


The injured bus driver and his helper were taken to nearby hospital, OC Tariqul added.
