Cricket South Africa Invitation XI declared the 1st innings with a seven-run lead against Bangladesh on the 2nd day of the three-day tour match at Willowmoore Park, Benoni on Friday.
Replying to Bangladesh’s 306/7-dec in the 1st innings, CSA Invitation XI resumed the 1st innings with their overnight score of 21/1 in 5.3 overs and raised their tally to 313/8-dec in 91 overs.
Shaun von Berg (62*off 110b; 8x4; 1x6), Zubayr Hamza (60 off 101b; 10x4) and Mathew Christensen (53 off 123b; 6x4) hit half centuries for the side.
Migael Pretorius (42 off 23b; 6x4; 2x6) and Matthew Breetzke (44 off 89b; 5x4) were the other notable scorers for the side.
Shafiul Islam bagged two wickets for 61 runs while Shubhashis Roy, Mustafizur Rahman, Mehedy Hasan Miraz and Taskin Ahmed took one wicket each for Bangladesh.
Liton Kumar Das (2*) and Imrul Kayes (4*) opened the 2nd innings and reduced their deficit to 1 as they were at the crease at 6/0 in 3 overs when the bails were drawn for the second day.
