Bangladesh continued their winning spree in the SAFF U- 18 Football Championship as they blanked the Maldives by 2-0 goals in their second match held on Wednesday at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan.
In the day's match, Saikat Mahmud Munna and Jafar Iqbal scored one goal each for the Bengal Tigers as Bangladesh eased to the victory after having dominated over the Maldives in the entire proceedings.
The win took Bangladesh to six points from two matches. Hosts Bhutan, who had earlier in the day, beaten Nepal 1-0, are also on six points but trail Bangladesh on goal-difference.
Bangladesh will play their next match against defending champions Nepal on September 25.
Earlier, Bangladesh stunned strong India by 4-3 goals in their tournament opening match.
