Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has urged party leaders and activists to be united to win in the next general election.
The minister said this while addressing a meeting held at his residence in Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj. Upzila unit of Awami League organised the meeting, reports BSS.
Nasim, who is also a presidium member of the ruling party Awami League, said, " We have to ensure victory in the next general election with development works as well as love and affection for the people of the country.
Terming BNP as ghost of Pakistan, the minister said if BNP again assumes state power they will distort the history of Liberation War.
"They will push Bangladesh into the dustbin" he added.
President of Kazipur upazila Awami League Showkot Hossain, former Member of Parliament Tanvir Shakil Joy, Upazila Chairman Mozammel Haque Bakul, General Secretary of upazila Awami League Khalilur Rahman and Municipality Mayor Nizam Uddin, among others, were present at the meeting.
