Celebrating Pakistan's victory over India in Sunday's cricket match has landed five more men in police custody in Indian state Rajasthan, India Today reports.
India and Pakistan teams reached the final of the Champions Trophy which was played out on Sunday, June 18. India lost the match. The arrested men, Imran, Sanjay Khan, Tanveer, Shoaib and Wasim were celebrating Pakistan's victory to the beats of dhol and chanting slogans favouring Pakistan.
The police took action on the basis of a complaint filed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP)'s local unit with the District SP. The VHP demanded stern action against the men for supporting Pakistan and celebrating its victory. A FIR was filed under section 151 by the police.
Earlier, fifteen Muslim men have been arrested in Madhya Pradesh for allegedly shouting "anti-India and pro-Pakistan" slogans during the Champions Trophy cricket final.
