The bodies of “Neo JMB” leader Nurul Islam Marzan and his aide Saddam Hossain were handed over to Anjuman Mufidul Islam on Sunday morning.
The bodies were handed over to the charitable organisation around 10:30am.
Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) inspector Abdullah handed over the bodies to Anjuman Mofidul Islam duty officer Mahmudul Hasan.
Mahmudul Hasan said the bodies will be buried at Jurain graveyard in the capital.
On January 6, Marzan and Saddam were killed in an alleged gunfight with law enforcers in Beribadh area of Mohammadpur in the capital.
Saddam was wanted in at least 10 murder cases, including the murder of Japanese national Kunio Hoshi, Jogeshwar Das Adhikari murder and attempt to murder of a Bahai community leader in Rangpur, according to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Nurul Islam Marzan passed Dakhil (equivalent to SSC) from Darul Ulum Markazia Madrasa in 2010 and Alim (equivalent to HSC) from Arifpur Fazil Madrasa in Pabna in 2012.
