On April 15, 2017, Apex arranged Boishakhi Utshob, to welcome the “Bangla New Year 1424” this year for their valued employees, partners and their family.
The daylong event was arranged at Dhanmondi - 27 store premises for the first time. The decor of the fair reflected the essence of rural Bengali culture.
Elements like – kureghor, dheki, gorurgari, hurricane, etc. was a representation of the lost heritage of “gram bangla”. Bioscope, banorkhela, bhaggoporikkha, putulnach, and baul performance was arranged to entertain the guests. The main attraction of the fair was “fire paan”- a recent hype amongst food lovers. Refreshments also included popular Bengali street foods like - fuchka, chotpoti, jilapi, kachaaambhorta, peyaramakha, Noorani’s special lime juice, andhawaimithai. Hari filled with traditional sweets like batasha, naru, muri-murki, moa, etc. was given as takeaway gift to the guests.
The day was filled with laughter and fun, and it provided a much needed escape from the monotonous city life to the members of Apex family.
