M Shoeb Chowdhury, chairman of daily Asian Age and director of FBCCI, exchanged views with High Commissioner of India Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Wednesday.
They discussed different issues relating to investment prospects between India and Bangladesh, said a press release.
Harsh Vardhan Shringla told during the meeting that the development partnership between these two countries is very important for advancement of both nations. The Indian High Commissioner highly admired Bangladesh’s economic growth, communal harmony and the Bangladesh government’s anti-terrorism drive.
M Shoeb Chowdhury appreciated the contributions by the Indian government during the Liberation War of 1971 as well as the ongoing unconditional support from India towards Bangladesh’s public and private sectors in every step. Chowdhury who is also Director of Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company (BAPEX), invited Indian oil and gas companies to invest in Bangladesh while speaking to Indian High Commissioner.
