Bangladeshi students awarded excellence in programming in MIT

Excellence in Programming award by MIT Office of Multicultural Programs awarded to Bangladeshi Students' Association for International Mother Language Day Event 2014.

MIT's Office of Multicultural Programs handed out several awards to its outstanding student organizations to promote diversity and multiculturalism. Bangladeshi Students' Association, the group representing Bangladeshi students at MIT, won the "Excellence in Programming" award for organizing International Mother Language Day.

The award guideline says, "This award is presented to an organization in recognition for raising the bar in student programming. This award is meant to highlight a particular program that exemplifies all that a student program can, and should be. This program has elements of multiculturalism and encourages a safe space for students to explore, understand, and learn more about an aspect of diversity."
