The country's electronics giant Walton, manufacturer of high-standard home and electrical appliances in Bangladesh, has taken strategic plan to grab the major market share inside the country in 2017.
To achieve the target, Walton held a day-long view-exchange discussion with the sales representatives who are working at field level across the country.
The speakers in the discussion stressed on appropriate, timely and modern sales methods to achieve the target.
The day-long discussion of Walton Plaza Home and Electrical Appliances was held on Thursday (December 8) at Walton Micro-Tech Corporation premises in Chandra of Gazipur.
Around 300 sales executives took part in the discussion. They expressed their firm determination to work sincerely applying their knowledge attained at root level and creative ideas in achieving a strong market position of Walton Home and Electrical Appliances in the coming year.
The day-long discussion was commenced by Walton Group Managing Director SM Shamsul Alam. Walton Group Director SM Mahbubul Alam, Executive Director and Chief Coordinator (Marketing) Eva Rizwana, Executive Director and Chief of Marketing Department Amdadul Haque Sarker, Plaza Sales and Development Department Senior Additional Directors Kamal Hossain and Motiur Rahman, Media Advisor Enayet Ferdous were among others present on the occasion.
It was reveled in the discussion that induction cooker, gas stove, blender, ceiling and wall fans, various types of electric switch-sockets, rechargeable battery, LED light, panel light, report control fan, regulator along with other home and electrical appliances are being manufactured using ultramodern technology at Walton Micro-Tech Corporation.
More products of home appliances are awaiting in the production line in the coming year. Talented and skilled engineers and technicians are manufacturing these products with huge investment on technological support from Germany, Japan and Taiwan. The 'Made in Bangladesh' labeled products are being manufactured retaining the standard of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) following zero-tolerance in quality control.
Walton Group Managing Director SM Shamsul Alam, said: The home and electrical appliances manufactured by us are international standard. Beside, prices of these products are comparatively less. We have strong marketing and service point networks across the country. Considering the facts, Walton is ready to grab the major market share of these products in 2017.
He emphasized on forming strategic plans for production and marketing mingling with the talents and experiences of the concerned people.
Walton Group Director SM Mahbubul Alam, said: The sales representatives must attain vast knowledge about the high standard and other qualities of these products to achieve the target. They have to explain them to consumers. Besides, considering the demands of the consumers, diversity should be integrated in manufacturing these products.
Executive Director and Chief Coordinator (Marketing) Eva Rizwana, in this regard said: The marketing activities of Walton Home and Electrical Appliances began with 47 plaza distributors in 2016. These products witnessed huge positive response from consumers for their high standard, quality and affordable prices which led increasing the number of distributors.
She also expressed her hope that Walton would become the market leader in this field in the coming year.
Earlier, the premises of Walton factory complex gained much enthusiasm with the entrance of around 300 sales reprehensive across the country on Thursday morning. They visited the production units of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation dividing in 10 groups. The sales representatives were amazed by witnessing the production units of Walton.
