Jamaat-e-Islami leader Mir Quasem Ali who has been sentenced to death for crimes against humanity will be buried at his ancestral home in Harirampur upazila of Manikganj.
Mir Quasem Ali hails from Chala village of Harirampur upazila in Manikganj district. Quasem advised his family members to bury his body at the family graveyard after his death.
Quasem’s wife announced the decision while talking to the journalists at Kashimpur jail gate after meeting with her husband.
Sources said after the execution of Quasem, his body would be brought at his village home at night. After namaj-e-janaza, his body will be buried by early Saturday.
Meanwhile in Manikganj, additional police have been deployed at the premises of a mosque built by Quasem in Chala village where he may be buried.
