Jamaat to take action against MP Nazrul after reviewing facts

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has said it will take necessary organisational action against Satkhira-4 MP Gazi Nazrul Islam in accordance with its rules after gathering information and evidence regarding allegations circulated by various media outlets and on social media.

Jamaat Assistant Secretary General and Secretary of its Central Publicity and Media Department Ehsanul Mahbub Zubayer made the statement in a press release on Tuesday.

“Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is monitoring reports recently published by various media outlets and on social media involving Satkhira-4 MP Gazi Nazrul Islam. Statements by Gazi Nazrul Islam himself, his first and second wives, and the father of his second wife have already been published in the media,” Zubayer said in the statement.
