BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has instructed party leaders and activists across the country not to hold any victory processions, rallies, or public gatherings anywhere in the country after his party won a landslide victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum on Thursday (12 February).
In a press statement signed by Tarique’s Press
Secretary Saleh Shibli, the BNP leader also told his party members to organise
special prayers and supplications following Friday’s Jummah prayers.
Tarique also called on all concerned to maintain a
peaceful and disciplined stance during this period, according to the statement.
