Apeiruss and their Funky, Lively Electro Acts

Samee Mahmud, Shafi Mahmud and Adnan Shahid aka Andy, the trio formed a group in 2014 and named it 'Apeiruss' which means 'infinity' or 'endless'.  The electro scene may be still fresh and new for Dhaka however the genre is growing rapidly these days. Among the bands who are bringing in their colours to this fast growing music scene, Apeiruss is one of them. Today we will tell their story.
As the story goes on, they have been working together since 2008. They used to listen to a lot of trance, techno and disco music. Besides that they were huge fan of Linkin Park. Even though LP is a rock band they have electronic feel in their music. These friends had the intention of introducing something which the people of our country haven't heard from the local musicians. And that’s why they focused highly on different types of electronic music. Later on Samee met Adnan in college. “It took us a long time to come together as team because we spent a lot of time learning and we still are,” said Andy. Their genre is Electronic Dance Music, House, Glitch Hop, Dubstep, Progressive house, Dance, Trap, Deep house and Complextro.

Andy added, “Our first international collaboration was with Atif Aslam and another one was with two Sri Lankan artistes named Stephan Neera and Kaizer Kaiz. We recently worked with Amaal Malik and Armaan Malik and produced a track "Buddhu Sa Mann Hai" for Karan Johar's upcoming movie Kapoor and sons.” The song’s video that features Alia Bhatt is on youtube and has already received over million likes.
Besides these, Apeiruss has done a lot of live shows as well. “We did Closeup Volt back in 2014, participated in Dhaka Comicon in 2014 and 2015. We are planning to do other shows as well. We did live shows in Sylhet, Gazipur and in Dhaka with Mehreen and Radioactive.  Plus we are producing tracks for artistes as well. We're producing Mehreen's album and Tahsan's album plus Amid's upcoming album.”
The band released a music video featuring Amid back in 2015 called "Hold me down" and that was the first ever dance music video in Bangladesh. The music video as well as the song and music offered something new for the music lovers in Bangladesh.
