14-party alliance announces programmes on war crimes trial issue
 DHAKA: The Awami League-led 14-party alliance Monday announced a set of programme to unite the nation in protesting conspiracy to foil trial of war criminals.

AL joint-general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif came up with announcement after holding a meeting of 14-party alliance on Monday.

The programme schedule includes human chain in the country’s district sadar on March 9 and in the capital on March 11.

A divisional grand rally will be held in Khulna on March 23.

Grand rallies in other divisions will be held by April this year.

In the meeting held at AL president’s Dhanmondi office, the leaders expressed condolences on the death of journalist-writer Foyez Ahmed and expressed sympathy to his bereaved family members.

Deputy leader of the House also AL presidium member Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury chaired the meeting.

Workers Party president Rashed Khan Menon, Jatiyotabadi Samajtantrik Dal president Hasanul Haque Inu, AL presidium members Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim and Abdul Latif Siddique, NAP vice-president Amin Ahmed, Gokno Azadi League president Hazi Abdus Samad were among others attended the meeting.
