My Bicycle in Latin American fests

My Bicycle (Mor Thengari), the directorial debut of Aung Rakhine, participated at two International film festivals in the Latin America.   The Chakma-language film was screened at Ficsur International Film Festival at Buenos Aires of Argentina which begun from July 01 and Cine Kurumin Festival de Cinema Indígena (Cine Kurumin festival for Ingenious Films) which will take place in two cities of Brazil.   The movie, My Bicycle has been selected for the main competition segment of the first edition of Ficsur International Film Festival which began on July1and will continue till tomorrow at Buenos Aires.   The film competed with nine other films from six countries including Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Australia and France.   The film also will be screened at the Cine Kurumin Festival de Cinema Indígena (Cine Kurumin festival for Ingenious Films) which will take place in two cities of Brazil, from July 12 to July 16.   In the movie My Bicycle (Mor Thengari) revealed the story of a indigenous man named Komol, who returns to his native village after losing his job in the city and decides never to return to the city again.   He starts ferrying passengers and goods with his bicycle. However, the local thugs demand extortion from Komol and when he refuses to give them any money they vandalise his bicycle.
