Nepal FM arrives in Dhaka to attend Tarique’s oath-taking ceremony

Foreign Minister of Nepal Bala Nanda Sharma arrived in Dhaka on Monday night to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Bangladesh’s newly elected government.

Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari and Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Dr Md Nazrul Islam welcomed the foreign minister and his delegation at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Earlier, on Friday, Nepalese Prime Minister Sushila Karki congratulated the government and people of Bangladesh on the successful conduct of the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

In a congratulatory message posted on Facebook, the Nepalese prime minister conveyed her heartiest congratulations to Tarique Rahman for leading the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) to what she termed a remarkable victory in the elections.
