CUET teams’ success in programming contest→ Staff Correspondent
 Continuous efforts are being made to build the Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) as a world-class education -research institution.

CUET Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Dr Jahangir Alam said this when members of CUET teams met him on Sunday after securing five of the top six places in the 9th IIUC Inter-University Programming Contest-2012.

Success of CUET students in various competitions bears testimony to the onward march of this institute, said the CUET VC.

The ‘CUET-Not-Found’ team secured the 1st place, ‘CUET Somikoron’ team 2nd place, CUET Last-Chance’ team 3rd, CUET-New-Planet’ team 4th and ‘CUET-Yukthakkhor’ team secured the 6th place in the programming contest organised by International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) at IIUC campus. Universities of Chittagong division participated in the contest that ended recently.

‘CUET-Not-Found’ team members were Sayem Md Imtiaz, Osman Gani and Shamsuddin Sajib, ‘CUET Somikoron’ comprised Sanjidul Haque, Golam Mazid and Rabiul Hasan Ranak, ‘CUET Last-Chance’ members were Soumen Bishwas, Masum Ahmed and Arafat Hossain Ronnie, ‘CUET-New-PLANE’ team members were Muntasir Zitu, Mukit Chowdhury and Emdadul Haq Shaon while ‘CUET–Yukthakkhor’ team comprised Sajib Khan, HK Rajib Das and Saber Hossain.
