Jobbarer Boli Khela begins April 25
 CHITTAGONG: The 104th session of Jobbarer Boli Khela, the century-old traditional wrestling competition of the port city, will begin on April 25.

Meanwhile, the three-day long Boishakhi Mela centering around the wrestling competition will also begin from April 24 at it’s historic permanent venue at Laldighi Maidan and it’s adjoining areas, organising committee sources said.

Mela organising committee chairman councilor Johur Lal Hazari told BSS that all preparations have been completed to complete the fair peacefully. The century-old historic wrestling competition and fair is held every year with much enthusiasm and cultural zeal participated by thousands of people from greater Chittagong and different parts of the country.

The competition joined by the country’s traditional wrestlers who are popular in the rural areas as a Boli (wrestler) and the Boishakhi Mela adorned with locally-made beautiful handicrafts and indigenous households held covering at least one Kilometer adjoining areas of Laldighi Maidan. —BSS
