DU gets new department
Dhaka University has launched a new department named ‘Nuclear Engineering Department’ under the Faculty of Engineering and Tech-nology.
The department’s academic activities started formally on Monday with the first meeting of Coordination and Development (C&D) Committee.
Prof Khorshed Ahmed Kabir was appointed as the chairman of the department, said a DU release on Tuesday.
The new department will offer Master’s degree course for one and a half years and honours course will also start in the days to come, the release added. —BSS
