Ahsan Habib moves from acting to NBR chief

Ahsan Habib, who served as acting chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for nearly four months, has been appointed chairman of the revenue authority.
He has also been appointed secretary of the Internal Resources Division (IRD) on deputation under the President’s 10% quota, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
The notification said Ahsan Habib would return to his parent cadre before retirement.
The government appointed him acting NBR chairman and acting IRD secretary on 29 June.
